Come to the 6th biennial convocation on public education sponsored by ALF and Houston A+ Challenge. The morning's key note speaker is Bill Daggett, CEO and Founder of the International Center for Leadership in Education. "What must the school of the future look like in order to achieve rigor, relevance, and relationships for all students?" and "What is my role in creating it?" are questions which will be addressed by the convocation.  Panelists include Representative Rob Eissler, Chairman, Public Education Committee, Texas House of Representatives;  Terry Grier, Ed.D., Superintendent, Houston Independent School District;  Renu Khator, Ph.D., Chancellor, University of Houston System; and David Thompson, Partner, Thompson & Horton LLP.

 

We look forward to seeing you on Friday.  Please note that Convocation on Public Education is at Houston Community College – Central Campus;  click here to see a map.  The day will start in the auditorium of the San Jacinto Building.  There is free parking on the HCC campus and the closest garage is at the corners of Austin/Windern/LaBranch.  Exit the garage, cross Austin street and enter the San Jacinto Building. Follow signs to the Auditorium - registration and continental breakfast will be just outside the auditorium.
