A Conversation with Anand Giridharadas

Date: June 29, 2020
Time: 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Fellows and Senior Fellows from the Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter are invited to join a program

with Anand Giridharadas

graciously sponsored by ALF's Silicon Valley Chapter

Join Senior Fellows from across the country for an interview with Anand Giridharadas, exploring topics from his book, Winners Take All: The Elite Charade of Changing the World,
a "New York Times bestselling, groundbreaking investigation of how the global elite’s efforts to “change the world” preserve the status quo and obscure their role in causing the problems they later seek to solve."

Anand is an editor-at-large for TIME, an on-air political analyst for MSNBC, and a visiting scholar at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University. He is a former columnist and correspondent for The New York Times, having written, most recently, the biweekly “Letter from America.” His datelines have included Italy, India, China, Dubai, Norway, Japan, Haiti, Brazil, Colombia, Nigeria, Uruguay, and the United States. He has also written for The Times's arts, business, and travel pages, and its Book Review, Sunday Review, and magazine--and for The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and elsewhere.

The program will include opportunities for participants to ask questions and depending on registration size, may include a chance for small group dialogues (via breakout groups) to engage in discussion with Senior Fellows from across the country.

After the program, Fellows and Senior Fellows from the Houston/Gulf Coast region will be asked to share their interest in convening a session for dialogue about what we heard.

There is no cost to participate in this program.

Open to Fellows or Senior Fellows on a first come, first-serve basis.

Once you register, you'll receive an e-mail with login and password information.
